This week we are bringing back our Deluxe Conversion Kits! Recently we sold through a lot of parts that made these kits possible, but with high demand we were able to come up with some combinations that will keep it alive until more parts show up. The Amelia wheels we usually spec are sold out but we are now offering all of our machined front/non-machined rear color options. That means you can get a kit with white components and your choice of white, green, orange, purple, red, or blue wheels. We also have a gold kit paired with gold wheels. Check them out at WS-Outlet and pick a kit up.
Funbikes put a great video together from their third annual Garage Race. What can be more fun than racing your way down a parking garage on slick cement. It’s great to see events like this bringing bigger crowds every year. Seeing a handful of Scambler’s there is pretty cool too. Visit Funbikes website to see all they have to offer.
Cycling Tips just announced their list for “10 of the Worlds Coolest Bike Shops“. Obviously there were a lot of shops to choose from but I was glad to see a few that stood out in my mind on the list. One of those shops was 718 Cyclery in Brooklyn. Joe and his team have been helping people fix their bikes or build up new ones for the past 5 years. With such a customer focused business model we’re happy to see Joe and the gang seeing so much success and notoriety. To learn more about 718 Cyclery check out their short video “The Inverted Bike Shop” or stop in and visit if you find yourself in Brooklyn.
It’s been a bit busy since we got back from the Wheel and Sprocket Expo Sale but I finally had time to post some pictures from our final day at the event. The EighthInch Urban Yard was a huge success. Our bike builders were busy all weekend and we watched dozens of custom bikes and conversion go out the door and hit the Milwaukee streets. Check out the photos below and see all of the photos from the weekend on our Flickr page.
Our good friend and EighthInch rider Krys Blakemore is taking some time off to travel through Europe. One year and three surgeries after her terrible
accident it’s nice to see Krys back on her bike and traveling the world. We were stoked to hear the bike she would be taking was her EighthInch Scrambler. Be sure to follow @krysblakemore on Instagram as she her Scrambler see all that Europe has to offer.
Our third day at the Wheel and Sprocket Expo Sale was
the busiest. We built up more custom fixed gears and got a few more conversions out the door. After a long day we grabbed one of the N64′s, Goldeneye, and a few select beverages and headed back to the hotel for a night in. The final day is just beginning so stop on down and visit before we’re gone!
We had another busy day at the Wheel and Sprocket Bike Expo Sale. More custom bikes and conversions went out the door and we finally had a few winners in our Bike Polo Shootout. Cardboard Woadie was a brick wall on Thursday, but Friday we had 5 people get it past him and take home a golden mallet. We will be
here through the weekend so stop and get a bike or just hang out. You can find more info on the EighthInch Urban Yard here.
The first day at the Wheel and Sprocket Bike Expo Sale was a busy one. We were able to get a bunch of custom bikes built up for customers and hope to have even more to build today. Check out the photos below and if you are in the area stop on out and visit. We will be here through Sunday, you can find more info on
the event on our site.
Today the doors open at the Wheel and Sprocket Bike Expo Sale. Today through sunday you can stop on out at Wisconsin State Fair Park and get a great deal on a new EighthInch bike. We will be building custom bikes on site so you can pick your parts and hang out while we build
your bike. We have a lounge with TV’s and couches set up you can catch up on a little Mariocart 64 and Goldeneye while you wait. You can get a custom t-shirt printed or take part in our bike polo shootout too.
Our entire lineup will be available to test ride so you can find out which EighthInch bike is best for you. You can also bring in your old 10-speed and we can convert it to a fixed gear for as little as $99. For more info on the Expo Sale click here.
Congratulations Chris K, you won our first EighthInch Conversion Hunt and a brand new conversion kit. We had a lot of entries but the frame Chris found was our favorite. He tapped into his parts stash to get it started but a conversion kit should round out the build and make it road worthy in no time. We hope to see a picture of it built up and rolling down
the street soon. We want to thank everyone who entered and let them know this is not the last Conversion Hunt we will be doing. Keep an eye out for old frames and you could win yourself a conversion kit next time.
