Haiku Contest

Thanks to everyone on BikeForums who entered our Haiku contest. It was pretty fun seeing what people came up with. Some were better than others, but we’ve read through them all and narrowed it down to our top 5 finalists. Now its up to you to decide who wins a pair of JULIAN rims and gets their Haiku put in an upcoming issue of Cog Magazine. We’ll be doing a pretty quick voting window and should have a winner announced on Friday.

No taco rim here
Hold the meat and the hot sauce
Julian, well played

Other less deep rims
Gnarled, twisted from pot holes
Stay true, Julian

3) – Carlovahnsexron

Spinnin out downhill
Deep like Chicago pizza

Poll of the week: What’s important to you?

Over the past few months we’ve really tried to widen our variety of fixed gear parts. As we grow  we are considering bringing in some more high end parts to the site to offer even a wider variety. As we all know, with big name parts come big name costs. We try to keep our parts as affordable as we can, but if you were willing to spend the extra money, what type of part would you be most likely to put it towards. Let us know!

Poll of the Week: How much do you Ride?

It’s been a cold winter here in Wisconsin but I know a lot of you out there are cycling every day basking in the glorious sun. While we are sitting here envying you we wonder how much our customers tend to ride their bikes.  Let us know how many miles you put on your bike in an average week. So when it comes to buying parts there’s a lot of things to consider. We’re planning to bring in tons more product for spring and hoping to get some input from our beloved customers. Poll of the Week!

Welcome to our Poll of the week. We’ve been throwing around the idea of manufacturing our own brand of cranksets. We’ve got most of the details ironed out and it seems pretty promising but we’d like to get your opinion on what size chainring we should put on it.

46t is probably the safest because its right in the middle of where people normally ride, but 48t has been our best seller. Let us know what you think so we can get you all some great new cranks!
