So we finally joined Instagram this week. Sure, it took
a while, but now you can follow @eighthinch to

Kris has been a busy guy. He has been putting out tons of edits, he celebrated the 4th Anniversary of Lockedcog, and unveiled the all new Lockedcog 2.0. He recentl
y went out with Alex and hit a few spots. Check out
the photos below.
From time to time we get orders with some strange requests in the notes field. Most of them challenge our artistic abilities and we do what we can to fulfill them as long as there is enough time in the day. Today’s request was one of the best we’ve seen so far. Although we didn’t have much extra time Brian stepped up and put in the extra effort to make the order perfect. Enjoy!
Our Swiss EighthInch dealer Fiinshliff has some great looking Scrambler builds on their blog. Check out a few of the shots below and be sure to stop by their site to see more.
With the Asia Fixed Gear Championships are a little over a month away we thought it would be a good time to get a nice prize pack out to them. Between an alleycat, polo tournament, trick comp, and sprints it should shape up to be a busy weekend. More info at Flwrider.
So our first Bueller wheelset made it in today. We thought we’d keep it a secret but this was too good to keep to ourselves. With the constant evolution of fixed gear freestyle it can be tough for companies to keep up with the trends. I think we’re at the forefront of a revolution that seemed pretty obvious to us. First it was all 700c, now you see people switching to 26″, it was only a matter of time before everyone makes the next logical jump to 20″. Sure, your pedals scrape the ground when your going straight and your legs are going to be spinning like crazy, but look at that barspin clearance! You have to admit it’s a great looking bike. I may be wrong but I think we’re on to something. Check them out below.
Happy April 1
While digging through some files we stumbled across a screenshot from the original EighthInch.com website. This one goes back to a time before we were even a brand. At that point we were just an online shopping site for “everything fixed gear”. You can tell we were at the top of our game as far as web design goes. We took a lot of inspiration from those amazing Geocities sites of the 90′s.
Our Butcher frames are nearing the end of production. Here’s a few pre and post paint photo’s that we got from the factory recently. Expect to see a pre-order open up in the next few weeks.

A unloading mishap sent our last pallet jack to the big warehouse in the sky but luckily we were able to a nice new one to replace it. The new pallet jack is nicer but seems to have come with some self confidence issues. Please, no pointing.

2010 was a great year for us. A big thanks goes out to all our great customers, riders, and dealers that have supported us. Fixed gear riding is evolving at a mind numbing pace but we’re doing our best to stay on top of trends and roll with everything the culture throws at us. On the final post of 2010 I thought it may be fitting that we take a look at whats in store for 2011. The Butcher’s are just finishing up production so it shouldn’t be too long before they’re in stock and ready to ship. Here’s a picture of a raw frame in what looks to be a 59cm. We’re going to have a nice headbadge thrown on it too. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks. Have a safe New Year’s.
